Thanks very much for the feedback, James. Mindfulness is a fascinating idea and I can see its great value to students. I wonder if it is implied in the attribute “Reflective”? I like resilience too, but am even a bigger proponent of awareness. Awareness of yourself, others and the world around you. It stems from mindfulness and social emotional learning. Mindfulness is a big part of my day as well as my G5 students’ day. I’m a believer and hope that one day the IB places more emphasis on it. The MYP is committed so hopefully it will grow from within. It is a trait that must be lived, like the LP.
