Grade 4 hosts assembly

Posted on Sep 15, 2012 in General

Grade 4 enjoyed hosting Elementary Assembly this week.

Every person played a part, spoke into the microphone and performed with great enthusiasm. We shared our How We Learn UOI, a Maths inquiry and poetry examples. We also encouraged the whole school to be risk-takers at Activity Week.

What fun it is to perform on stage!  A very big thank you to the parents who came to support us.

If you missed the assembly, you are welcome to watch the video below. (China residents, turn off your VPN for better results.)

Do you enjoy speaking to an audience? Why/why not?

Which of the Learner Profile traits did you demonstrate during assembly?

Wonderful hosts!

Everybody spoke into the microphone.

    Dear BISS students,
We performed an assembly today! Our topics were the 8 different intelligences and the things that represent this. We all sparkled for everybody in this school! I bet you will enjoy this activity when you’re learning about it! Let’s keep our brains working and keep maximizing!

    Kind Regards,

    Hello grade 4,
once again, you have impressed me with your stage presence, your singing and your smarts. Ww! what a great way to learn and laugh about our school rules. we know very well that one of the best ways to learn something is to laugh about it and/or make a song about it. Bravo to you all. Would you like a suggestion which i think might help your ESOL students? you might want to print the lyrics to your songs on the screen while you sing them. this will help the ESOL kids understand the words better. If they read it at the same time they hear it, they will get it.
    You got it!
    Thank you all

    Dear Ms.Odwyer

First, thank you for coaching us how to do great in assembly. I enjoyed to speaking to the audience because, always, I like to talk or speak to other people. My favorite thing to do in assembly was introducing about the 8 intelligences. I want to do that whole assembly again! And I will never forget that assembly in my life!

    Kind regards,
    Na Youn
